About Tündérvíz Alkaline Water
Our water provides valuable assistance in treating reflux and excess stomach acid, and restores well-being within days. Its pH value of 9.1 is calibrated to neutralize excessive stomach acid when replacing normal fluid intake, all while delivering a pleasant, genuinely enjoyable taste. We recommend consuming it throughout the day, except during meals.
Most disease-causing bacteria thrive in acidic environments. To illustrate with a simple analogy, it is like when a swimming pool’s pH is too low, causing algae and other bacteria to proliferate. Our modern synthetic world and its fast-paced lifestyle have brought quick and “simple” foods and soft drinks, forcing the body to endure increasing amounts of acidic substances, resulting in the accumulation of various acids (e.g., carbonic acid, lactic acid, fatty acids, uric acid, etc.).
As a result of acid overload, disease-causing bacteria begin to multiply, triggering specific illnesses (e.g., REFLUX disease, throat conditions, stomach disorders, kidney diseases, urinary tract infections, allergies, depression, joint diseases, chronic fatigue, etc.). The other globally emerging problem is that much of the acid accumulating in the body is bound by fat, making acids one of the most common culprits behind obesity.
Medical research proves that the body’s acid overload can be corrected through regular consumption of alkaline water, which in most cases inactivates developed diseases and restores well-being within days.
With regular consumption over several weeks, visible changes can already occur, as the restoration of pH balance returns digestion to its proper mechanism, preventing the accumulation of excess fatty acids and instead breaking them down and neutralizing them through efficient functioning.
The fundamental element of our body is water, and its quality, quantity, and pH value are decisive factors:
More than 70% of our body is water, meaning that a 60 kg person’s body consists of at least 42 kg of water mass. An adult loses 2.5 kg of fluid daily, which must be continuously replenished for the body to function healthily.
These two fundamental facts prove that the body’s functioning is primarily determined by the quality and quantity of water. When water is contaminated with chemical or other foreign substances, upon entering the cells it alters their structure, which can lead to DNA changes. This initiates the process leading to the body’s aging and the development of many diseases.
For preventing and treating REFLUX disease:
Have you heard of reflux disease? Many people do not realize that heartburn, an acidic taste in the mouth or burning sensation in the throat, chronic coughing, and chest pain can all be symptoms of reflux disease. People suffer these complaints silently, attributing them to poor eating habits or their stressful, fast-paced lifestyle. In Hungary, as in Western countries, this disease occurs at a very high rate among the adult population, affecting approximately every third person. Many live with reflux disease, increasingly suffering from these complaints, yet few seek medical attention. They typically become accustomed to the symptoms or self-medicate with over-the-counter preparations, only consulting a specialist when the symptoms become considerably more severe.
Yet reflux disease is highly treatable and its complications are preventable.
The following summary provides assistance in recognizing the disease and symptoms in a timely manner, and offers useful information about prevention and treatment options:
- What is reflux?
- Why does our stomach burn?
- How does reflux develop?
- Characteristic Symptoms
- What can we do for prevention?
During eating, the movement of the esophagus propels food toward the stomach, the lower esophageal sphincter opens, the food enters the stomach, and then the sphincter closes. If the sphincter does not function properly, the gastric opening remains open longer, and the acidic, corrosive gastric juice can flow back into the esophagus. Reflux (backflow) is the phenomenon when stomach contents return to the esophagus. This is not inherently pathological; it becomes problematic when it occurs more frequently than average. We consider it a disease when reflux causes symptoms.
After eating, abundant acid production begins in the stomach. If the gastric opening does not close properly, the acid rises into the esophagus for varying periods and corrodes it. The esophageal “lining,” its mucous membrane, is not equipped to resist the corrosive effect of acid, so it protests with burning pain. The complaint caused by acid reflux is called heartburn, although its origin is not the stomach but the esophagus. The pain originates in the lower section of the esophagus; we feel the burning sensation at the gastric opening, behind the sternum, and in the throat.
Reflux disease can develop in virtually anyone. Certain conditions increase the frequency of reflux, such as increased intra-abdominal pressure (obesity, tight clothing, pregnancy), and in those suffering from respiratory diseases (coughing). Certain medications reduce sphincter tone (some asthma and anti-allergy medications, sedatives), and certain foods have similar effects, such as fat, chocolate, alcohol, and menthol.
The characteristic symptom of acid reflux is heartburn. For some, reflux causes pain in the gastric opening area, possibly nausea or acidic belching; sometimes the acid rises to the throat or mouth, causing an acidic, bitter taste. For many, the symptoms are not clear-cut and resemble other diseases. It can cause hoarseness, nighttime or morning chronic coughing, and constricting chest pain. Many patients present to their general practitioner complaining of chest pain, but the ECG and other cardiological examinations are negative. Often both the doctor and the patient are reassured that there is no risk of heart attack and do not continue investigations, so it is only discovered much later that reflux is causing the symptoms.
Developing proper eating habits plays an important role in preventing reflux disease. Smoking, alcohol consumption, bending over, tight clothing, or tight belts should be avoided whenever possible. It is recommended to eliminate excess weight and consume smaller amounts of food multiple times daily. Avoid consuming fatty foods, chocolate, spices, tea, coffee, and fruit juices that cause heartburn. However, a strict diet is unnecessary. It is particularly important that the last meal of the day not occur late in the evening, immediately before bedtime.
In milder cases of reflux disease, significant improvement can be achieved with lifestyle changes (among other measures). In addition to lifestyle changes, regular consumption of Tündérvíz alkaline water is recommended, because in our fast-paced world we cannot always pay attention to a perfect diet, but the good news is that we do not have to. Our body is more than 70% water, which is decisively responsible for the processes occurring in the body. If we can focus solely on proper fluid intake, we have already accomplished 70% toward reflux prevention. Tündérvíz alkaline water, entering the acidic body and the processes of stomach function, produces an immediate effect, meaning that upon entering the acidic environment it neutralizes harmful processes and reactions in the body. To achieve results, consuming 1 to 1.5 liters daily is recommended.
About alkalization in general:
The essence of pH value:
The pH value is a measure that refers to the hydrogen ion concentration present in aqueous solutions, thereby indicating the degree of acidic, neutral, or alkaline reaction of the solution. The pH value scale ranges from 0 to 14.
Acids have values below 7, and alkalis have values above 7. Water in its original form has a pH value of 7 (neutral). According to drinking water standards, drinking water must not have a pH value below 6.5 or above 9.5.
The pH value indicates whether an aqueous solution has an acidic, neutral, or alkaline chemical reaction.
- If the pH value is less than 7, the solution is acidic.
- If the pH value is exactly 7, the solution is neutral.
- If the pH value is greater than 7, the solution is alkaline (alkali, basic).

Acid-Base Balance
The body’s basic regulation is decisively determined by the interplay of acids and bases. These flow through the human body in alternating rhythms. An adult human is fundamentally considered an alkaline (basic) organism thanks to the pH value of the blood, which ranges from 7.37 to 7.45.
Let us look to nature. Our planet’s greatest problem currently is the over-acidification of green and agricultural areas due to acid rain. We can observe in our rivers and lakes that fish die off at pH values of 5. What does “pH value” mean?
With this important measure we are at the center of the acid-base balance, which is of decisive importance not only for external nature but also for the basic regulation of human life. This acid-base balance, like a strict auditor, regulates breathing, circulation, digestion, excretion, resistance, hormone production, and much more.
Nearly every biological process runs flawlessly only when a specific pH value is ensured.
The acid-base balance continuously occurs in our body, in our approximately 100 trillion body cells. Carbon dioxide (CO2) is constantly produced in each cell during energy production. In addition come further acids that we take in through nutrition or that are formed during metabolism.
From the pH value scale one can read how acidic (how many electrically positively charged acid molecules it contains) or alkaline (how many electrically negatively charged alkali molecules it contains) a solution, a liquid, the blood, or the urine is.
Why is pH value so essential?
Remember: urinary acidosis (acid overload) reflects existing cellular acidosis.
The urine pH value of a healthy, breastfed infant falls between 8 and 8.5. Humanity most certainly once possessed this pH value in its blood at some point in its infinitely long history, before we descended to our current dismal value of 7.35. Basic values above 8 not only ensure a healthy and beautiful body but also enable humans to achieve greater physical and mental performance.
